About PDF168

PDF168 helps with everyday document tasks: joining an application and its attachments, extracting a few pages, correcting page direction, or making a file small enough to submit. The tools are free to use without creating an account. You choose a tool for the job and download the result.

Who runs the site

PDF168 is operated by Interstellar Digital Technology Limited (星際互聯數位科技有限公司), registered in Hong Kong under Business Registration No. 79203502. The site's guides and sample checks are published under the PDF168 name. For corrections or tool problems, contact hello@pdf-168.com.

Understand where your document goes

Merge, Split, Rotate and other tools marked Local processing read document contents on your device. Server tools, including compression and Office conversion, send files to our processing service over HTTPS. AI tools send text or page images for model processing; some modes also upload the PDF for conversion. The notice above each tool describes its mode before you select a file.

Loading a local tool still makes network requests for the website, code, fonts, advertising or analytics. “Local processing” describes document processing, not a promise that the page makes no network requests. Read the Privacy page and follow your organisation's document-handling rules.

Check a result before relying on it

The sample files and check record let you compare input and output for merging, extracting pages, rotating, image conversion and compression. The samples are synthetic and contain no personal documents. The published record gives the test date, settings and output files.

These checks cover selected processing functions and one compression example. They do not establish performance on every browser or file, preservation of digital signatures, PDF/A compliance or the accuracy of OCR and AI. Keep your original, open the downloaded file and inspect its pages before sharing it.

How to use our guides

Our guides explain document tasks using the site's controls. Where a guide links a checked sample, you can repeat the operation and compare its result. A sample result applies to that file and those settings; it is not an average speed or quality claim. The page's publication date and any revision date are shown separately.

If a step no longer matches the tool or a result is wrong, report the tool name, browser and steps. Send a synthetic or anonymised example only if needed; do not send confidential documents. That makes a problem easier to reproduce without exposing the original file.

Technology and funding

The site uses Astro for its pages and libraries including pdf-lib for local PDF processing. Other conversions use a separate processing service. Tool availability and limits depend on the document, device and service.

The site includes Google AdSense integration to support its free tools. Ad availability does not affect which tool you can use. Advertising is labelled separately from tool controls and downloads.
