- The first page should say “sample-b - page 1”; the second should say “sample-a - page 1”.
- Use positions in the PDF viewer, starting at 1. A page number printed inside a document may differ from its actual position.
Limits and troubleshooting
- The result is one PDF containing the selected pages, not a separate file for every page. Commas and ranges such as 1-2,3 are accepted; repeated page numbers are included once.
- If no valid pages are selected, check the displayed page count and range. A scan remains an image after extraction; this operation does not add searchable text.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
The extraction operation processes the selected PDF on your device without uploading it. The webpage may still make network requests for code and other site services. Follow your organisation's document-handling requirements when choosing a tool.
Is there a file size or page limit?
The tool does not set a fixed size or page cap. Available memory, browser limits and document complexity affect processing. If the file fails to load, try a smaller non-personal sample to check whether the issue is specific to that document.
Can I extract multiple page ranges at once?
Yes. Enter comma-separated positions or ranges, such as 3,1 or 1-3,5. The first occurrence of each page is kept in the order entered; duplicates are included once. Ranges expand from the lower number to the higher number, so use 3,2,1 rather than 3-1 for reverse order.
Does it work offline and on mobile?
Processing runs on your device in a compatible mobile or desktop browser. The PDF module is downloaded when you first select a file, so opening the page alone does not make it ready for offline use. Keep a connection available for the first operation.
How do I split a PDF into separate files, one per page?
This tool produces one PDF per operation. To save individual pages separately, enter one page number, extract and save it, then repeat with the next page number. Rename the downloaded files so you can distinguish them; there is no one-click batch export into separate files here.
Can I extract only odd or even pages?
There is no odd/even shortcut. List the positions explicitly: 1,3,5,7 for odd pages, or 2,4,6,8 for even pages, continuing as needed. Check the total page count and save the result under a distinct filename.
Does splitting reduce quality or change page dimensions?
The tool copies page content and dimensions without deliberately rasterising pages or recompressing images. It does not perform OCR: a scan without a text layer remains an image. Check the output's appearance and page dimensions, and separately verify interactive elements or signatures.
Can I split a PDF that is password-protected?
The splitter has no password field and does not decrypt encrypted page contents. Use an unencrypted copy you can open, or unlock it with the password first. The site's Remove Password tool uploads the file to a server. Keep the original and handle the unlocked copy according to your document policy.
Are form fields, comments and bookmarks kept in the extracted file?
Pages are extracted with their visible content. Interactive elements such as form fields, embedded attachments and document-level bookmarks are not guaranteed to survive, and signatures may be invalidated because the file changes. For filling a form, use Fill Form on the original instead of extracting pages, and always keep the untouched source document.
