Turn only the second page, keeping the others unchanged

Practise selecting one page before correcting a sideways page in a longer document. The sample begins upright, so its second page will visibly turn clockwise.

Settings and steps

  1. Download merged.pdf and add it to the file area above.
  2. Set “Rotation (clockwise)” to 90° and enter 2 in “Pages (leave blank for all)”.
  3. Select “Rotate PDF” to download rotated.pdf.

Expected result and checks

Three pages remain. Only page 2 has an additional 90° clockwise rotation.

Download reference output · rotated-page-2.pdf ↓

The reference is named rotated-page-2.pdf; the tool downloads rotated.pdf.

  • Compare page 2 with the original; its text and page orientation should both turn clockwise.
  • Pages 1 and 3 should keep their orientation and positions. Reopen the downloaded file to check the saved result.

Limits and troubleshooting

  • Leaving the page field empty rotates every page. Angles add to any existing rotation; running 90° twice on the previous output produces a 180° turn.
  • Only 90°, 180° and 270° are available. A slightly tilted scan needs deskewing rather than a quarter-turn rotation.

Rotate PDF pages 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise to fix sideways or upside-down scans and photos. You can rotate every page or enter the positions of only the pages that need turning. Documents are processed in your browser without uploading; the first operation may require a connection to download the processing components.

How to Rotate PDF

  1. Drop or open your PDF file directly in the tool.
  2. Choose 90°, 180° or 270° under Rotation (clockwise). Enter page positions or ranges in the page field, or leave it blank for all pages.
  3. Select Rotate PDF to download rotated.pdf, then reopen it to check the saved orientation.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

The rotation operation processes the selected PDF on your device without uploading it. The webpage may still connect to download processing components and load other site services. Local document processing does not mean the entire page makes no network requests.

Is this rotation tool really free?

The tool is free to use, requires no account and adds no watermark. It handles one PDF per operation. File size, document complexity and the device's available memory affect what it can process.

Can I rotate only certain pages instead of the whole file?

Yes. Leave the page field blank to turn every page, or enter specific page numbers or ranges to rotate just those. This is ideal when only a few landscape or upside-down pages need fixing.

Does rotating reduce the quality of my PDF?

The tool changes page rotation settings without deliberately rasterising the page or resampling images. It does not add a text layer to scans. Reopen the output to check the orientation and separately verify any form fields or digital signatures.

Is there a file size limit, and does it work on mobile?

There is no fixed file-size cap because processing is local; the practical limit is your device's memory. Use a compatible desktop or mobile browser. Processing components download when you select a file and first run the tool, so keep a connection available for the first operation.
